I STAND FOR:

BUILDING COMMUNITY, EDUCATIONAL ACCESS & COMMON SENSE

Building relationships with community partners

not creating division amongst people

  • Listening and collaborating with teachers, students and families to move forward together addressing their needs.

Supporting teachers, students, and families with engaging programs and spaces so that teachers can teach and students can learn.

Understanding that to move forward is to embrace all of our learners including students with special needs and English learners to be an inclusive community that provides opportunities to maximize everyone’s potential.

Students need to be prepared FOR LIFE AND SUCCESS.

Moving forward together to expand curriculum and opportunities for all students

  • Expanding visual and performing arts for students including Academy of the Arts, choral, instrumental, visual and other performing arts.

Expanding courses that feed into our local community colleges through certificate completion programs.

Growing innovative programs and electives for students such as Sports Broadcasting, BEAST (Biology, Engineering, Arts, Science, and Technology), Cybersecurity, Agriscience, Nursing, Veterinarian science pathways, Forensic Police and Fire Academy, e-Sports, and many more.

Ensuring that teacher and student voice are involved in the development of courses for state-wide requirements including ethnic studies.

Making COMMON SENSE decisions

to ensure student well being and safety

  • Recognizing student and staff mental and emotional health trauma and creating spaces with partnerships and organizations like CHOC to build student wellness centers.

Keeping campuses safe with continued partnership with law enforcement and building relationships with SROs (Safety Resource Officers) at each site.

Sound money management to ensure continued stability and in building modern educational facilities to meet our student potential.

Wise budgeting decisions to complete Measure I projects and recouping additional money allowing for even more projects to be completed.

I encourage you to go to our FJUHSD Website and the individual school websites for a comprehensive guide on how we are serving your students and community.

With your support, I will continue to serve you, the FJUHSD community.
